Attorney’s piece of advice in Pedestrian Car Accident

July 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

ABC7 Traffic Center recently reported the tragic Pedestrian Car accident that happened in New York (WABC), Saturday June 21 2008 where for the fourth time in two days a vehicle hit pedestrians on a New York City sidewalk. The news was related in the article entitled, Fourth such accident in two days.

The accident happened in Brooklyn’s Kensington neighborhood. The witnesses relayed that the accident happened when a car crashed hitting two children at play on the sidewalk (a 2-year-old boy and a girl 2) and two young women (aged16 and 19).

The striking part was that the devastating accident was just an addition to the previous day’s accident (Friday) where cars veered onto sidewalks at three separate locations in Manhattan, hitting 18 people. Ending with three being hospitalized with serious conditions and 11 others treated for less serious injuries.

This event goes to show how potential pedestrian populace can be involved in accident of this nature.

Despite having all the measures of road safety wage by respective authorities, these crippling situations can happen in all places and jurisdictions.

With my considerable exposure with these type of cases, I am somewhat learned how gloomy it was for the victims as well as their families. I have witnessed how their lives torn apart and their finances drained by such experience.

I have represented considerable numbers of Pedestrian Car Accidents in their claim pursuit and with continued persistence, at least they have managed to recover from their loss. However, to those who have not taken the proper steps to claim for compensation for their injuries, they are left in doom. This is where I take concern of.

As a piece of advice for victims of Pedestrian Car Accidents as well as their families, this I say that they should not be afraid to go out and file their compensation claims against the erring actor who caused the accident. There can be no reason to be afraid with the hurdles of lawsuit or claims.
