Car plows restaurant in an attempt to dash from paying the bill

Car accidents happen mostly because of the driver’s behavior. Driver’s negligence never fails to play a role in almost all road accidents.

In one odd incident in Detroit, a driver crashed into a restaurant wall and smashed into one of its windows in an attempt to avoid paying the bill.

Four women dined at an International House of Pancakes (IHP) and dashed. They thought that by speeding away with their car they can get their breakfast free of charge.

However, their car plowed the restaurant and smashed a large window. With the incident, their bill at IHP even soared high with a ticket from the police on the side.

Reports revealed that the driver had $200 at her pocket at that time but her friends just influenced her to run.

Although no one was injured, this incident left us a lesson: running away will do you no good.

Speeding off as a way of preventing from being responsible for an accident or from paying your bill is against the law. It could be considered a hit and run accident or any other tortuous conduct which is punishable by law.

In this particular case, the restaurant owner could sue for the damages done to his restaurant. The four women could be held liable for property damages as a consequence.
